As usual for Glenfarclas, the single malt whisky matured in former Spanish sherry casks , the result is a flavorful single malt whisky with distinct notes of exotic spices, ripe fruits and roasted nuts.
Nose: initially soft toffee fudge and ripe fruit, followed by aromas of peeled almonds, light chocolate and roasted hazelnuts
Palate: mouth-filling and soft in taste - now significantly spicier with notes of cinnamon and ginger root, plus grated nutmeg and spicy heather honey - in the background and ripe red berries
Finish: long, very harmonious finish - very soft with warm notes of spice and fruit
