Torabhaig is the second active distillery on the Isle of Skye.
It has been the only new distillery on the Scottish Hebridean island for 190 years.
This is the 3rd Batch of the distillery's second bottling, released in June 2022 - under the name The Legacy Series - Allt Gleann.
Torabhaig stands for a modern generation of contemporary whiskys from the Isle of Skye and is for the discerning whisky lover who appreciates the variety of "peated whisky".
Every new bottling is driven by the desire to delve deeper into the complexity of the peat aroma in order to produce a truly unique and balanced character.
"The Legacy Series - Allt Gleann" combines traditional and modern approaches with slow distillation in impressive copper stills and traditional, longer-than-average fermentation in wooden washbacks.
This gives it complexity and an extraordinary taste.
That is why the distillery speaks of "Well-Tempered Peat", which is the foundation of every new bottling, which has already developed in the first four bottlings of the Legacy Series.
This series impressively demonstrates the compatibility of complex peat taste and balanced character, which is created through constant optimization and tasting.
Torabhaig "The Legacy Series - Allt Gleann" is bottled in small batches from no more than 30 Casks each.
The distillery, which was painstakingly built in Torabhaig, is truly a product of its surroundings.
An abandoned, well-preserved homestead became the new home of the Torabhaig distillery on the island, which has always stood for exceptional single malt Scotch whisky.
The construction started a new era: Torabhaig is only the second legally operated distillery on the picturesque Isle of Skye and the first new one to have been built there in 190 years.

Eine zweite nunmehr produzierende Destillerie auf der Isle of Skye ist eine Bereicherung der Single Malt Welt Schottlands. Man kann gespannt sein, wie sich der Charakter der Destillate zukünftig entwickeln wird, wenn ggf. auch andere Hölzer zur Fasslagerung zur Anwendung kämen. Aktuell überwiegt noch das Torfige der Insel und der Destillerie-Charakter.
