The Ron Esclavo 12 Stauning Whisky Cask Finish Limited Edition is an exclusive blended rum made from up to 12-year-old rum qualities from the Dominican Republic.
All rum qualities used were distilled from molasses in the column still and then stored in American white oak Casks in the Dominican Republic.
Then the Rum matured in Europe in former whiskey casks from the Danish whisky distillery Stauning.
Nose: Clear aromas of juicy dried fruit, especially apricots and figs, along with sweet malt and whiskey aromas - above all spicy tones
Palate: dried fruit again, now more clearly plums, raisins and sultanas - in a good balance with spicy notes of exotic spices
Finish: medium finish with balanced sweetness
