The Ron Esclavo 12 Sherry Cask Finish Limited Edition is an exclusive blended rum made from up to 12 year old rum qualities from the Dominican Republic.
All rum qualities used were distilled from molasses in the column still and then stored in American white oak barrels in the Dominican Republic.
The rum was then matured for another year in Europe in former sherry casks from Spain.
Nose: clearly the influence of the sherry cask - ripe red fruits and berries are present - behind it spicy oak wood
Palate: again the red berries, this is joined by notes of juicy dried fruits - figs and dates - some vanilla and again the spicy oak
Finish: full and lush in the long finish with intense notes of ripe dark cherries and plums
