The Blended Malt Scotch Whiskey from Angus Dundee (owner of the Glencadam Distillery, among others) is an Islay essence: intense peat smoke combines with refined, maritime notes, citrus notes and peppery spice, which slowly fade away.
The characteristic notes unfold unadulterated by chill filtration at ideal drinking strength.
Nose: Clear peat smoke with fresh aromas of ripe citrus and red apples - over all a slightly salty sea breeze
Palate: Mouth-filling and strong - at the beginning the peat smoke is clear again, paired with a pleasant sweetness - then becoming spicier with notes of tart herbs and heather - green pepper in the background
Finish: medium length finish - now peat smoke and green pepper dominate
