The family business produces an impressive range of Hercynian single malt whiskys by hand, always genuine, using traditional methods and a great deal of experimentation mature into highly aromatic drams.
For the second time, the Harzers have bottled a single malt whisky branded ElsBurn, which matured in an Italian cask combination of first-fill exAmarone and exMarsala casks.
The full-bodied, full-bodied red wine from the Valpolicella region in the Veneto region and the lovely Sicilian dessert wine not only owe the ElsBurn Italian Connection its invitingly dark colour.
The single malt is bursting with dark fruits such as cherries, currants and plums.
In addition to intense fruity notes, the whiskey delights the palate with coffee, nutty notes and a touch of spice.
