The Kyrö Distillery Company was founded in 2012, after the Founders during a visit to the sauna for the first Drank some rye whisky and wondered why in Rye-Country Finland no whisky made from rye produced.
Since whisky has to mature for at least three years, they also decided in the meantime to produce other spirits on a rye basis - especially gin.
