The Campbeltown Malts Festival takes place for a week each May and gives the few Campbeltown distilleries that survived in the historic area the ability to open their doors to local people and visitors from afar to open.

For the limited edition of the Campbeltown Malts Festival 2022, Glen Scotia has come up with something very special:
A heavily peated single malt whiskey expertly distilled in 2013 and matured in first-fill ex-Bourbon casks for seven and a half years, before aging in the finest first-fill Pedro Ximenez sherry hogsheads for twelve months.

It was bottled at a cask strength of 56.5%vol. Alcohol content.
The bottle features the new Glen Scotia design.

Nose: Glen Scotia's trademark Campbeltown sea spray comes through on the nose, followed by a hint of smooth smoke.
Palate: the taste of syrup and spices is enhanced by the influence of peat, which combine in a harmonious feast of taste.
Finish: the Finish? It's the essence of Campbeltown, with hints of saltiness and maritime nuances.

Ein sehr schöner junger rauchiger Single Malt aus dem Hause von Glen Scotia. Das PX Finish verlieht dem Whisky viele Noten von Trockenfrüchten, aber ohne eine klebrige Süße. Aus dem Grund ein Muss für Fans von Glen Scotia. Der Whisky ist zwar 8 Jahre jung, aber die Qualität der Abfüllung ist trotzdem exzellent.
