Joy buds: The Seasons Spring Edition 2022 is a rarity
In spring 2022 we welcome a single malt whisky in the Seasons range that is as rare as a single malt as the blossoms of cherry trees and magnolias.
The Spring Edition 2022 was distilled by the Teaninich Distillery.
With a capacity of 10.2 million liters per year, it is one of the major Scottish producers.
However, connoisseurs rarely come to enjoy their often malty, creamy and fruity products in their pure form.
With the Teaninich 7 Years 2009/2022, whisky lovers not only have a rare taste experience, but also a lively taste experience that suits the season.
After seven years, including the sherry butt finish, the seasonal bottling combines varied notes such as dark fruits and burnt hazelnuts, juicy blood orange and a hint of coconut.
The dram for the changeable transitional period unfolds with an increased drinking strength of 48.7%vol. Alcohol content - completely unadulterated due to the absence of chill filtration and coloring.
Nose: strong sherry aromas with raisins, dark grapes and raspberries are followed by a honey sweetness with freshly sawn wood and lots of milk chocolate
Palate: Dark fruits, overripe plums and Jaffa Cake give way to burnt hazelnuts, juicy blood orange and a hint of coconut
Finish: the sherry notes remain relatively long - afterwards some leather and unburned tobacco can be perceived - the whisky fades away with traces of liquorice and tree resin as well as various spices
