Peach, mango, lemon tart: Glencadam Réserve de Sauternes is a sumptuous delicacy
After 180 years in the whisky queue, Glencadam made the step out of the shadows of the blending industry and onto the stage of the original bottlers.
The whiskys, which are up to 30 years old and are neither colored nor chill-filtered, are produced in two original copper pot stills, just like when the small distillery was founded.
Due to their construction, they produce a particularly delicate and soft spirit.

Glencadam Distillery never fails to surprise as its distillate matures.
For the new limited release, Glencadam 13 Years Réserve de Sauternes, for example, the Highlanders developed their single malt, which was matured in bourbon casks, in French wine casks.
Previously, these contained the noble sweet white wine Sauternes from the Bourdeaux.
Its rich, velvety sweetness gives the whiskey depth and complexity - with inviting notes such as baked peach, dried mango or lemon cake.
Only 3,042 bottles of the delicacy were filled.
Nose: Sparkling aromas of orange marmalade and poached pears blended with acacia honey, peach blossom, yellow fruits and sandalwood
Palate: Layers of baked peach, dried mango, manuka honey and orange chocolate, followed by lemon cake, tangerine sorbet and crème anglaise
Finish: Apple compote, agave nectar and candied fruit peels combined with sweet baking spices and candied cloves that linger on the tongue.
