The harvest year for this port can be considered a dry year in the Douro.

The winter and spring were dry, with high rainfall in April and occasionally during harvest.

Even if the vineyards clearly showed that water is needed for the ripening of the grapes, the mild temperatures during the summer have contributed to the progressive ripening.

This has resulted in an excellent balance between sugar and acidity, very interesting from a phenolic point of view.

The wine shows a great intense color, characterized by a deep ruby red

Nose: on the nose it reveals a very elegant aroma of ripe cherries and currants combined with fresh menthol and herbs

Palate: lots of primary fruit and a seductive freshness

Finish: The wine ends impressively and intensely with fine tannins on the finish

A vintage to be enjoyed alone or in combination - with chocolate-based desserts or with intense cheeses.

Stand upright 24 hours before opening to allow sediment to settle.

The bottle should be kept lying flat at a constant temperature between 16 to 18 degrees Celsius and protected from direct sunlight and excessive moisture

The wine has a high aging potential when stored under ideal conditions.
