The Italian importer Velier is known in the rum scene as a pioneer for authentic experiences.
The company, managed by industry giant Luca Gargano, was also the "first mover" when it came to clairin: the Italians were the first to bottle the locally produced rhum from Haiti.
Traditionally, sugar cane spirits are not allowed to age.
Typically Velier, however, maturation has already been successfully experimented with, for example, in the Vieux Sajous bottling.
Now comes a new, sherry cask-matured bottling from the younger series.

Michel Sajous from Saint Michel de l'Attalaye distilled the basis for Vieux Sajous 4 y.o. in the Clairin way. - Lustau Oloroso Casks.
Its basis: organically grown sugar cane of the old Cristalline variety.
The distillate from freshly squeezed juice matured tropically in premium sherry casks from the renowned Bodega Lustau.
After four years, the rum is a pleasurable hike between the worlds of clairin and rum with particularly delicate, complex aromas.
