The Australians not only demonstrate the variety Starward is capable of with their Core Range and the experimental Projects series, but also with single barrels.
The Starward Single Barrel 2017/2021 was bottled exclusively for Germany.
After initial maturation in a fresh red wine barrel from the Barossa Valley, Australia's oldest region known for opulent wines, the single malt was treated to a finish in burned-out American oak barrels.
Combined with Starward's fruity raw spirit, the result is a lush flavor profile dominated by toasted oak, smooth vanilla and blackcurrant.
The round mix can be at 55.5%vol. alcohol content at cask strength.
