Fresh sugar cane juice from specially selected sugar cane plantations, high-quality yeast and exclusive, old recipes, paired with the know-how How of the master blender, are the basis for this exquisite rum.
The careful distillation in the column still was in 1981 and the precious distillate then matured for an unbelievable 40 years in former American Bourbon oak barrels in the mountain slopes of Panama, before bottling took place in 2021.

Malteco Selección Rum impresses with an intense amber color with ruby red reflections.
Elegant, complex and intense on the nose, with notes of tobacco, burnt wood, citrus, dried fruit and a light woody tone.
A pleasant concentration of alcohol also sets in.
Very velvety and soft on the palate with an interesting combination of aromas.
Pleasant notes of dried fruit, chocolate, sandalwood, old leather and some balsamic vinegar unfold on the palate, providing freshness.
A hint of burnt caramel leaves room for more classic tones of ripe fruit and vanilla.
This is accompanied by notes of intense pepper, hot spices and citrus fruits.
Its finish is long-lasting with pleasant tones of wood, behind which are soft notes of pudding.
