Amrut 2015/2021 is a limited treat that throws an exciting perspective on India's single malt pioneer. Distilled according to the Scottish model, the Indian Single Malt Whiskey matured in a highly aromatic cask: Cask #4711 was filled with the Portuguese liqueur wine Madeira.
High above sea level in Bangalore, tropical conditions allowed the peat-smoky distillate to interact intensely (around 3.5 times faster than in Scotland) with the fruity-infused wood.
The complex result flowed with 60% vol. Alcohol content in only 200 of the noble bottles.
