Distilled in 2012 in the French style (100% Barbet Column Still), matured in ex-Cognac casks, the second maturation was in an ex-malt whisky cask from a Scottish Islay distillery.
The Chamarel distillery is known for producing one of the best rums on the island.
In the still young distillery, French Style Rum has been produced from pure sugar cane juice since 2008.
The juice comes exclusively from the distillery's own sugar cane fields.
