Lindores Abbey Distillery is located in the Scottish Lowlands near Fife and is the first place in a written source from 1494 gives a reference to the production of whisky in Scotland.
Brother John Cor, a monk of Lindores Abbey, was commissioned for King James IV to make "aqua vitae" (the water of life), as whisky was called back then, from barley.

Nose: soft fruit ht, red apples and pears combined with sweet vanilla, butterscotch and custard with citrus flavors
Taste: fruity notes reminiscent of an orchard - cooked apples, with notes of fresh lemons with a hint of bitterness, covered with woody oak and spicy peppery notes
Finish: medium-long finish with fruity tones

Durch Zufall entdeckt. Mein persönlicher Favorit des Jahres 2022. Hat auch meine Gäste überrascht. Muss man im Schrank haben.
