Because environmental pirates also celebrate Christmas: For our latest cooperation with the marine protection organization Sea Shepherd, our smoky Islay Single Malt shows its lovely, festive side.
We treated the limited Sea Shepherd Sherry Edition to a 12-month finish in sherry hogsheads, creating a whiskey that feels just as good in the cold season as the fish in the water - especially when it is under the protection of Sea Shepherd .
With life-saving zeal, the environmental activists dedicate themselves to the fight against whalers, poachers, the extinction of marine animals and the pollution of the seas.
Defend, protect, preserve: this only works with a strong sense of togetherness across all borders.
The Sea Shepherd Sherry Edition pays tribute to this. As? Because the single malt with increased drinking strength combines Islay power with the soft and Christmassy notes from sherry barrels.
Smoke, maritime freshness and salty bacon notes, dried fruits, orange and chocolate raisins are at home in a new, dark red bottle.
Sea Shepherd supports the sale of each and every one of them: Kirsch Import donates at least ten percent of its sales directly to the non-profit organization.
Nose: dark, ripe fruits, salty, smoked bacon, slightly braised lemon peel and a fine maritime smoky note
Taste: intense smoke with BBQ aromas and notes of salt with a slight hint of iodine round off the taste of dried fruits and slightly charred chocolate raisins
Finish: pleasantly maritime-fresh with hints of orange, the whiskey slowly fades away
