Stauning succeeded in doing this with the Limited Edition Stauning Barley.
In order to best shape the character of the unmistakably Danish single malt, it is first matured in former Bourbon Casks and then in former Ruby Port Wine- and Madeira Wine Casks.
The result: an intense aroma of ripe plums, pears and a charming taste of Barley fields with notes of mild tobacco, vanilla, citrus peel and chocolate.
