The influence of casks on single malt whisky - studying it is Billy Walker's Life task. The luminary can dedicate himself to the phenomenon in particular in the Wood Finish Series launched in 2019.
The range consists of innovative single-malt bottlings with various post-maturations, which are clearly characterized by selected barrels.
For this, Billy Walker secures puncheons, pipes and co. from small producers around the world.

For the new Batch 3 of the Wood Finish Series, he refined GlenAllachie single malt whisky in former sherry, port and Madeira Casks.

The 13-year-old single malt whisky balances sweetness and flavor.
This is responsible for over eleven years in American oak Barrels and the finish in Madeira barriques.
The Portuguese Casks were pre-filled with a particularly intense variety of liqueur wine made from Malvasia grapes.

Nose: Waves of vanilla, apricot and plantain with almonds, peaches and pineapple

Taste: vanilla, syrup, apricots and peaches, fused with almonds, grapefruit and pineapple
