The GIN-SUL-Bulli reaches the Peloponnese by ferry.
The makers of Gin Sul let themselves be initiated into the secrets of the aniseed spirit in an old ouzo distillery before they set off for Athens.
The shimmering metropolis is a Mecca for cocktail aficionados worldwide.
"Caminho do Sul Grécia" marries Gin Sul with the classic ouzo botanicals: anise, fennel, mastic and thyme.
Out of fashion in Greece as a "poor people" drink and in Germany as a dishwashing liquid for gyros plates in constant use: the ouzo.
What a pity!
Because in the ouzo and behind the ouzo there is actually a culture of eating and living that needs to be rediscovered.
Mezedes, the delicious little things that you eat with dear friends for hours after lunch with good conversation, used to be always and exclusively accompanied by ouzo.
"Caminho do Sul" is Portuguese for the "way of the south".
The dry gin bottled in the typical Gin-Sul clay jugs is limited to 3,000 bottles and has a stamp as a handle cork.
Nose: Aromatic, spicy and multi-layered scent - fresh anise aromas, accompanied by the presence of juniper and seconded by the fragrant resin of the Greek mastic tree, have an intense effect
Taste: full-bodied and fresh - the sweet combination of green fennel and star anise with fresh citrus notes and subtle, spicy thyme bridge the gap between gin and ouzo.
