The Lion's Fire - 2021 Special Release

Strong and persistent by nature, the fiery spirit burns from Lagavulin bright in this extraordinary drama.
The lion in the coat of arms guards the magnificent gemstone of the King of Islay.

Nose: mild, dry and then: wonderfully aromatic - clear, fresh and maritime with superficial aromas of sea air and Himalayan salt, supported by fragrant smoke from dried Lapsang Souchong and minerals - behind this lie aromas of cocoa and dried seaweed, with a hint of lemon peel - this salty sweetness is inspired by the wood smoke of a distant campfire Coast
Taste: the texture is soft and pleasantly oily; the taste begins sweetly, then breaks out into a lemon-sour growl - every sip is crowned by a trace of sea salt with the persistent presence of charcoal - a drop of water rounds off the salty taste into a soft sweetness
Finish: Lingering emphatically and high and long-lasting waves of smoke - a splash of water intensifies the loud warmth of spicy chilies
