The batch 318 is limited to 4,800 bottles worldwide.
The sixth bottling in Wolfburn's Small Batch Series comes from a combination of lightly peated malts that matured for seven years in first-filled exOloroso sherry Butts and from seven-year-old malts from first-filled ex-Bourbon Casks.
A sweet, round, luscious single malt whisky with an incomparable depth of taste.
Nose: figs and apricots are present, along with soft aromas of peat smoke - in the background vanilla and spicy oak
Taste: deep and complex in taste - clear porridge with honey, with it boiled apples and sultanas - then warming peat smoke and soft spicy oak notes, cinnamon, cloves and ginger, above all a wonderful sherry sweetness
Finish: the finish does not disappoint! Dried fruits and caramel, plus traces of peat smoke
