As one of Scotland's oldest whisky families, the Morrisons are closely linked to the famous whisky island of Islay - this is also the case expressed by the name "Mac-Talla" - which means "echo" in Gaelic.
The whiskies impress with their depth and diversity, which is typical of this island.
On the shores of Islay, two worlds collide - the wild, fiery sea and the unforgiving land.
Each whisky in the Mac Talla range has been shaped by the weather-beaten shores of Islay. Non-chill filtered and with no added coloring, it is a taste of the untamed that leaves a lasting impression.
The Mac-Talla Mara (Gaelic: Sea) reflects the maritime nature of the island and has been heavily influenced by the atmosphere of the Atlantic salt, which surrounds Islay. Salt and iodine combine with the peat-saturated air.
Matured in former Bourbon Casks, the Mac-Talla Mara is made at cask strength with an alcohol content of 58.2%vol. bottled.
