One of the very traditional British Navy rums - Bottled according to the original recipe and with the alcohol content of 1887 until today.
A classic rum made from Demerara molasses, only three rum qualities are selected for this bottling , all from the Diamond distillery in Guyana.
Another specialty is one of the rum qualities used, which is made in the Diamond distillery Distilled in the so-called Versailles still - a 250 year old wooden pot still! The only one of its kind in the world.
The rum qualities are aged in oak barrels after distillation in Scotland, then mixed together and with an alcohol content of 57% vol . bottled.

Nose: Spicy at the beginning, a little oak - then aromas of sweet syrup, dark Pedro Ximénez sherry and dried fruits follow
Taste: soft and round in taste a clear malt note, then becoming more spicy with notes of herbs and liquorice - the fruits take a back seat, but are present
Finish: long finish with a wonderful balance of spice and sweetness - again the liquorice
