Japanese Whisky is on the rise. In recent years, the island nation has worked its way to the top when it comes to Single Malt, Single Grain and Blended Whisky. Distilleries like Mars Shinshu, which stand for great know-how and diverse premium Whisky from 100 percent in-house production, have contributed to this. What makes the bottlings of the Japanese distillers particularly exciting: They mature in completely different climate zones from tropical to alpine - and thus always provide surprises on the palate.
Two Single Malts from Komagatake, the special Bottlings from Mars Shinshu will be available in August 2021.
Komagatake Tsunuki Aging 2020 matured at the headquarters of the second Distillery in Tsunuki, in the subtropical south of the Country. Here the Single Malt developed a citrus-heavy profile with a hint of smoke.
