In 1902 the doors of the Glasgow Distillery Company closed.
Founded in 1770 under the name Dundashill, it was one of the first licensed whisky distilleries in Scotland - and one of the largest for malt whisky.
In the 20th century, the city's distillery produced an extraordinary 360,000 gallons a year.
Liam Hughes, Mike Hayward and Ian McDougall thought a piece of history deserved to be revived.
Inspired by the pioneering spirit, they dared 2014 with the Glasgow Distillery is restarting.

Since summer 2021 the Glaswegians proudly present their 1770 Glasgow Triple Distilled - Smooth & Vibrant.
Previously available as Release No.1, it now completes the standard range.
As was once common in Glasgow's distilleries, the company distills this single malt three times.
In combination with the aging in Bourbon- and freshly toasted Oak Casks, the result is a pleasantly soft, at the same time lively whisky with a light body.
How does that taste?
After sweet vanilla, white chocolate, summer fruits and wood spice.
Previously available as Release No.1, it now completes the standard range.
