Product information "Amahagan World Malt Edition No. 3 47%vol. 0,7l"
The smallest whisky distillery is located on the largest lake in Japan, Lake Biwa the island nation.
Founded in 2016, Nagahama is part of a new generation of Japanese distilleries - and a consequence of the increasing demand for domestic premium products.
The team around Master Blender Takashi Kiyoi distills the malty raw whiskey spirit on just 26 square meters.
The equipment for this adapts to the space: Nagahama works with the smallest pot stills in Japan.
The alembic stills provide a plus in fullness and depth.

The small craft distillery still does not have enough of its own whisky.
In order to give connoisseurs a foretaste, Nagahama marries the in-house spirit with selected malt whiskys from all over the world.
The result: the Amahagan World Malts.

The blended malt- Series includes four bottlings - each of them with a different Cask finish.
Their third release, Amahagan Edition No. 3, the Japanese treated it to a finish in exclusive Casks made from Japanese Mizunara oak.
The Casks are particularly rare because the hardwood is difficult to work with. They combine malty sweetness with warm wood tones, dark chocolate and citrus fruits.
