16 different Cask types are available to the team at the family-run Hercynian Distilling Co. for their whisky series.
The oak Casks in various Cask sizes are for the most part pre-filled with a wide range of southern and sweet wines from Amarone to Marsala to Sauternes.
The bottlings of the Wayfare series belonging to the ElsBurn brand benefit from the extraordinary variety of casks.
For even more flavor intensity, bottled at cask strength, the Wayfare Edition is the big whisky brother of the mild ElsBurn The Journey.

Originally, the range's single malts were bottled in vintages, but due to strong demand, now in batches of at least 2,000 bottles.
Batch 002 is a vatting made from four to nine year old barrels from a balanced composition of southern and sweet wine Casks.
50 percent are made up of Sherry Hogsheads, 50 percent are Port, Marsala, Málaga and GrandCru Claret Hogsheads.
The single malt whisky awaits you with complex notes of berries, speculoos, mocha, raisins and caramel.
