16 different barrel types are available to the team of family-run Hercynian Distilling Co. for their whisky ranges to choose from.
The oak Casks in various Cask sizes are for the most part pre-filled with a wide range of southern and sweet wines from Amarone to Marsala to Sauternes.
The bottlings of the Wayfare series belonging to the ElsBurn brand benefit from the extraordinary variety of casks.
For even more flavor intensity, bottled at cask strength, the Wayfare Edition is the big whiskey brother of the mild ElsBurn The Journey.

Originally, the single malts in the range were bottled in vintages, but now in batches of at least 2,000 bottles due to strong demand.
Batch 001 is a vatting made from barrels up to nine years old that were originally made from & nbsp; Andalusia, Portugal and France originate.
Former sherry barrels as well as Port, Málaga, Claret and Marsala barrels create a single malt with tempting aromas.
They run in a fruity-malty direction with wonderful notes of bitter-sweet dark chocolate, buttery-soft caramel and sparkling orange.
