Compass Box 'successor to the Oak Cross.
The majority of the recipe for this blended malt whisky uses stocks of whiskey purchased freshly distilled from Compass Box.
These distillates were then matured in barrels according to in-house specifications.
Many of the distilleries that the New Make was sourced from are known for their fruity style.
Orchard House shows this fruitiness and benefits from the many barrel aging methods that have been developed and implemented over the past 20 years.

Fruits are a symbol of sharing and abundance in many cultures.
Ripe fruits are reminiscent of sweet delicacies and the light warmth of late summer - hardly anything is as tasty as a perfectly ripe apple or peach.
Compass Box would like to achieve that this suggests both maturity and liveliness; the yellow and green fruit notes represent this perfectly.
The name indicates the fruity nature of the whiskey. The term "house" indicates ownership and indicates that the majority of the distillates belonged to Compass Box from the start.
Aroma: first apple, pear and peach, then hints of rich peat and black cherry, pineapple, all sorts of citrus peels (especially lemon and lime) - with earl gray tea, ginger turns into a nice maltiness, vanilla and roasted coconut flakes - with sweet biscuit notes a hint of cinnamon
Taste: Apple juice, muesli, banana and honey, followed by notes of wild strawberries - initially very breakfast-like! Again an oily texture with subtle peat, sultanas, vanilla and then a creaminess with hay and meadowsweet
Finish: a hint of cocoa powder in the finish

Serving: Orchard House is layered and full of flavor when served on a large ice cube.
It also fits wonderfully as part of a Boilermaker place setting, combined with a crunchy pale ale, lager or Pilsener.
