Pär Caldenby not only dreamed of their own distillery, but simply built one.
His tiny craft distillery is located in the outbuildings of a former farm in Hunnebostrand, Sweden.
These house, among other things, two small copper pot stills (one only holds 900 liters), bourbon and sherry casks as well as a "worm tub condenser" - a cooling system that has become rare and makes the raw spirit heavier and fuller.
Equipped in this way, Caldenby has been single-handedly producing his Smögen single malts, which have been celebrated on Whiskyfun.com, among others, since August 2010.
Now the first 10-year-old is here - the first 10 years of matured bottling Dante is based on lightly peated barley malt.

The character Full 10-year-olds matured completely in first-fill Sauternes barriques.
Peat smoke, vanilla, pepper and orange unfold at a strong 57.8%vol. Alcohol content in cask strength.
