Aikan means "wedding" in Arawak, the language the first inhabitant of Martinique. Aikan Whisky Blend Collection bears this name because it represents the connection between two climates (temperate in Scotland, tropical in Martinique), two & nbsp; Continents (Europe and America) and two worlds (rum and whisky) symbolized.
First the whisky matured for one year in French oak Casks in French Brittany, then for a further two years in former rum Casks under tropical conditions the island of Martinique.
Nose: distinct oranges and nutmeg blossoms
Taste: citrus fruits and dark berries - then becoming more spicy and slightly tart - quince, papaya and passion fruit can be recognized
Finish: long in the finish with apricots, oranges, malt and gingerbread
