This exclusive rum comes from the New Grove Estate, which has been in the family since 1838 on Mauritius in the Indian Ocean, the Grays Distillery.
With the New Grove Rums tradition and high quality always come first, paired with authentic taste and true emotions that impressively reflect the identity of the island of Mauritius.
This rum from the Savoire Faire range, traditionally made from molasses, was used in the year 2007 gently and continuously distilled in the column still process.
It then matured 13 years first in new French oak barrels, followed by a finish in ex-cognac barrels .
The bottling of this vintage rum with 45% vol. as a limited edition with a circulation of less than 2,000 bottles was made in 2020, without any additives such as sugar or colorants.
Nose: on the expressive notes of exotic fruits unfold on the nose - floral tones, light vanilla, butterscotch, tobacco and oak wood are also noticeable
Taste: on the palate powerful and yet soft, with beautiful aromas of exotic tropical fruits, hot spice and a natural sweetness
Finish: the finish is complex and long-lasting
