For spring 2021, Signatory selected a 7-year-old Ben Nevis with an exSherry Butt finish in the Seasons range.

Snow and rain, thunderstorms and sunny days with 28 degrees Celsius: this spring has rough edges.

This is also said of the whiskys from Ben Nevis. So it is wonderful that the Highland distillery provided the distillate for the new Seasons bottling.

Ben Nevis 2013/2021 - Spring Edition 2021 matured in the Signatory warehouse, where it celebrated its aromatic finale in Sherry Butt No. 10.

The single malt whisky owes its strong color to this - as natural as the rich colors of spring.

With its fruity and at the same time spicy aromas, the Ben Nevis fits perfectly into the season.

Lively notes of dark berries and cherries put the nose and palate in a springtime mood of optimism and whet the appetite for the coming summer months.

The flavor of herbs and tobacco, as well as pepper and leather, holds against it and creates a pleasant tension.

The pleasure experience for the changeable transition period unfolds with an increased drinking strength of 50.2%vol. - completely unadulterated by not using cold filtration.

The single malt flowed into a total of 820 spring-green bottles.

Nose: dark sherry aromas with blueberries, raspberries and chocolate then spicy oak and a hint of leather

Taste: now clearly red berries, not so sweet - behind it raisins, sultanas and cherries - then notes of some cinnamon, a hint of mocha and white pepper

Finish: medium-long finish with notes of Black Forest cake, various herbs and a hint of unburned tobacco
