Product information "Dictador XO Insolent 40%vol. 0,7l"
The sugar cane for Dictador grows in what was originally the first sugar cane growing area in South America on the coast of the Caribbean Sea.
The coastal climate is fertile and ensures abundant, high-quality harvests of the tall cane - and the sugar cane honey.
After After fermentation, it is partly distilled in alambic copper stills and partly in column stills made of steel. This is how the distillery gets its typically balanced medium-bodied rums.

This unfolds in oak barrels during tropical ripening, sometimes also in sherry and port wine barrels.
Due to the high degree of evaporation in the Caribbean climate, the Parras use a process that is reminiscent of the Solera method, but only mixes rums from the same vintage .
For this, the Angel’s Share of the barrels is compensated by filling up with rum of the same age. These "single vintage" rums thus preserve as large a quantity as possible of the rums that have matured over many years - in their purest form.

The components of Dictador XO Perpetual and XO Insolent have a total of 23 to 35 years to develop rich flavors from honey to coffee to chocolate.
The XO Insolent matures in exBourbon and exPort wine barrels.
These barrels were also burned out several times in order to give the rum a strong vanilla sweetness and roasted aromas.
All rum qualities are neither sugared nor colored.

Nose: strong vanilla and honey with hints of white chocolate and parfait caramel
Taste: a very soft mouthfeel with notes of fudge, intense vanilla and Colombian coffee
Finish: long, finely balanced with light oak tones for a sweet but strong impression
