Product information "Balblair 12 year old 46%vol. 1,0l"
The first distillery with the name Balblair was founded in 1790 in the northern Highlands.
This distillery no longer exists, the present distillery was built on the same site in 1872.

Balblair was long owned by Allied Domecq, who closed the distillery in 1996 and transferred to Inver House Distillers sold.
Balblair has been in operation again since 1998.
The malt that is distilled here is pleasantly light and dry.

Nose: fresh, pure aromas of ripe citrus fruits, especially freshly cut lemon peel, next to it soft vanilla aromas and the scent of green apples
Taste: now getting spicier - again the citrus fruits, paired with a pleasant sweetness of mild honey
Finish: soft, almost creamy in the medium-long finish - reminiscent of old, polished leather, but again light Vanilla tones
