Noble single malt whiskeys from the Lough Gill distillery in Sligo, Ireland!
The Keshcorran is a 14-year-old single malt Whiskey, initially matured for 11 years in former Bourbon Casks, then it received a three-year finish in exTokaji wine Casks.
Master Distiller of the Lough Gill distillery is none other than Billy Walker, who was responsible for breathtaking bottlings in the Scottish distilleries Glendronach, BenRiach, Glenglassaugh and Glenallachie.
In the years 2016 to 2019 the Lough Gill distillery bought 500 barrels of Irish single malt whiskeys under his guidance, which were stored in the distillery and given special finishes in various selected Casks under Billy Walker's hands.
These Casks bridge the time until the first whiskeys of their own can come onto the market.
Nose: ripe fruits, especially green apples and pears, with light vanilla aromas
Taste: again the apples and pears, with ripe, sweet pineapple, honeydew melons and ripe lemons
Finish: long finish with notes of soft butterscotch and fresh tobacco leaves
