Product information "Navy Island XO Reserve Oloroso Sherry Cask Finish 46,3%vol. 0,7l"
Navy Island is a blended rum made from selected Jamaican rums from the Worthy Park distilleries , Monymusk and Hampden Estate.
They all have one thing in common: They produce their rum by hand in traditional Jamaican stills, do not add sugar and produce in small batches.
The rum qualities that are married for Navy Island are also Typically Jamaican in taste: with a high ester content, particularly aromatic and full-bodied.

The XO Reserve is Navy Island's flagship - a full-bodied, strong cuvée that matured extra long (XO = Extra Old) under tropical conditions in Bourbon barrels.
For even more intense rum enjoyment, the Jamaicans gave their Navy Island XO Reserve a finish in Oloroso sherry casks.
The limited pot still rum spent at least 12 months additional tropical maturation in the sweet wine barrels.

The result: dark and nutty aromas Notes from the barrel that turn into soft notes of figs, raisins and other dried fruits.

Nose: fine aromas of Oloroso sherry, raisins and citrus fruits in combination with the heavy aromas of Jamaican rum
Taste: full and juicy spicy, characteristic Jamaican with subtle hints of raisins and apricots
Finish: long and spicy.
