From fine traditional wines of the Douro region, which are on the slopes of the Vineyards in grow up to 600m, the so-called "Vinha ao Alto "(vertically planted grapevines) the exclusive Burmester Colheita Port.
The grapes are only harvested when they have reached optimal maturity and are then carefully macerated, extracted and fermented so that none of the fine aromas, the rich color and the Tannins of the grapes are lost.
Matures for a long time, but at least seven years, in high quality wooden Casks.
A deep, orange to red color with brown & nbsp; color influences characterize the Colheita Port which is made from grapes from a single, very special vintage.
It shows an excellent aromatic presence, in a complex mixture of dried fruits and spices.
Soft and balanced its taste shows finesse and harmony.
