Founded in 1967, produced by GlenAllachie until 1985, the distillery was shut down until 1989 - and since then, single malt whisky has been distilled and produced here.
GlenAllachie has been privately owned since 2017 - no less than Master Distiller Billy Walker now owns the distillery!
Nose: intense aromas of dark chocolate, raisins and heather honey, sweet-spicy and orange peel behind
Taste: powerful notes dark chocolate, juicy raisins and molasses, then again the heather honey and the sweet and spicy tones - in the background orange peel and eucalyptus
Finish: long on the finish, soft - chocolate and raisins are present for a long time
