Machir Bay with a difference!
The Collaborative Vatting is a bottling that we selected together with Kilchoman.
Compared to the standard bottling of Machir Bay, this bottling has a higher proportion of sherry casks used.
Normally, Machir Bay 90% exBourbon and 10% exSherry Casks used.
Our bottling has a sherry barrel content of 15% which provides significantly more fruity and berry notes.
Only 120 Bottles where filled.
Nose: clearly the typical Flavors of lime and lemon, followed by ripe plums, raisins and caramel, above all sweet peat smoke
Taste: at the beginning vanilla, butterscotch, cinnamon and seaweed, then notes of peaches develop, Preserved fruits, caramel and fresh peat - spicy notes above all
Finish: long and warming finish with tones of tropical and dark fruits - again the spice and peat smoke
