Distilled in 2012, the Single Malt Whisky matured exclusively in the former Bourbon Barrel with the Number 331914.
On June 16, 2020 the time had come and the Cask was bottled at a drinking strength of 46%vol. alcohol content without chillfiltration and without coloring to only 387 bottles.
Nose: at the beginning hot, then immediately clearly smoked bacon and soft peat in abundance, then the smell of gauze bandages in an open medicine cabinet - in the background Wax and old, damp wood
Taste: very soft and mouth-filling - surprisingly sweet at the beginning, then the peat again (but not too much) - reminiscent of a damp moorland, followed by bacon and light tones of bitter herbs
Finish: medium-long finish with a slight sweetness - peat, moor and bacon are present again

Diese Abfüllung hat mir viel Spaß gemacht wie alles was kompromisslos rauchig und torfig hergestellt worden ist.

Typischer rauchiger Caol Ila. Leider aktuell nicht mehr im Sortiment.

Das ist mal ein richtig guter Caol Ila in jung mit einem tollen Preis-Leistungsverhältnis
