Not chill-filtered in a different way!
This 7 year old Mortlach from Speyside in Scotland comes from two Hogsheads.
Signatory did not use chill filtration for this bottling, but reduced the alcohol content to 40%vol., see above that the single malt appears very "foggy" in the bottle even at room temperature.
The reason for this are the oils and fats contained in the whiskey , which are filtered out during chillfiltration, but these flavor carriers are fully contained here.
Nose: light aromas of spicy oak and vanilla, followed by mild honey and freshly polished leather
Taste: mouth-filling and spicy - harmonize fresh herbs and spices with a slight sweetness of toffee and heather honey
Finish: medium-length finish with a harmonious spiciness and a slight sweetness
