The Kingsbarns distillery was founded in 2014 by the independent bottler Wemyss.
Peter Holroyd, the distillery manager at Kingsbarns, has this fresh bourbon Barrel, which was filled on April 6, 2016, selected.
This single cask release was bottled in natural cask strength, of course without coloring and without cooling filtration.
It is in the nature of a single Cask - only 258 bottles are available. Nose: lush light fruits, especially pear and green apple, with juicy peach and lemon cream Taste: lush and creamy with lots of vanilla, fresh waffles and sweet malt, with plenty of fruity notes behind it - spicy undertones of clove and one a hint of chilli chocolate Finish: complex and ripe for its youthful age
