First, this limited single malt whisky matured for ten years in exBourbon Barrels and Refill Sherry Hogsheads, then for another three years in refilled exCabernet Sauvignon Barrels from MontGras' Intrigra Estate in Alto Maipo, located at the feet of the Chilean Andes.
Nose: rhubarb and vanilla cream, with boiled red fruits, blackberries and ginger - behind them strawberries and creamy sweets with sweet barley sugar
Taste: Barley, ripe summer berries and red apples - followed by notes of peat logs, goat cheese and black tea
Finish: dry with a finish with maritime notes and peat, with focaccia with thyme and rosemary - above all leather and tobacco leaves
