A 5-year-old, heavily-peated single malt whisky from the Scottish Island Islay, matured in a butt and three hogsheads.
Who ever tried a Bunnahabhain Staoisha, who knows that you can not be put off by the young age of this Islay Malts. A Refill Butt and especially the three Dechar/Rechar Hogsheads (also called Alligator Casks) make for a distinctive character!
Dechar/Rechar means nothing else than that the Hogsheads used before the filling initially planed from the inside and again strong to be burned out.
