Big Peat 33 year old Cognac & Sherry Cask Finish Douglas Laing 47,2%vol. 0,7l

The oldest Big Peat Douglas Laing has bottled.
A 33-year-old blended malt whisky, the used malt whiskys all date back to 1985.
The Casks were married together and then in former cognac and sherry casks matured.

Nose: sweet smoke, ripe plums, with aromas of brown cane sugar and juicy peaches
Taste: at the beginning clearly phenols, followed by notes of ripe red apples, fresh leather, smoked ham and a lot of malt
Finish: long finish with notes of toasted almonds, warm spicy notes - behind them orange marmalade on freshly buttered toast
