Springbank 10 Jahre Local Barley 56,2%vol. Sample 0,04l

The fifth bottling of the Local Barley range - Springbank used Optic barley from High Cattadale Farm on the Kintyre peninsula for this bottling.
Distilled in July 2009, the single malt whisky matured over ten years until October 2019, when Springbank filled the Casks to 9,000 bottles.

Nose: typical Springbank flavors; an elegant saltiness, sea shells and fresh oysters - behind a strong peppered cheese, honeycomb and fresh vanilla
Taste: Whipped cream, pear drops and spicy heather - followed by barley, sorbet and sugarcane, with nectarines and dandelions
Finish: light, pleasant dry peat, over the juicy plums, raisins and crushed pepper - in the background dry straw
