Since the summer of 2019, the 15-year-old GlenAllachie has been a member of the core range of Billy Walker's Speyside distillery. First the Single Malt Whisky was matured in first-filled exBourbon Barrels, then for a second maturation it was filled in former Pedro Ximenez- & Oloroso-Sherry-Puncheons.
As usual for the Core Range, the Single Malt is neither dyed nor cold-filtered and has an alcohol content of 46%vol.
Nose: distinctly raisins, butterscotch and sweet spices
Palate: soft in the taste - again the raisins, then develop strong notes of ripe bananas, orange peels and dark chocolate
Finish: long and soft on the finish - raisins, bananas and chocolate are present for a long time - above all the sweet spicy tones
